Wildwood Acoustic
Wildwood Acoustic is an independent Record Label, specialising
in roots music of diverse and eclectic styles.
In addition to CD titles on our own label, we act as an outlet
for recordings made by independent artists, bands and singer/songwriters
who are too small, too unusual or too wary to be signed up by
major labels and distributors.
Wildwood Acoustic Village
In addition to our recording projects, we provide a unique all-night
acosutic space for festivals - the Wildwood Acoustic Village.
The Wildwood Acoustic Village features a customised combination
of North African Berber tents, (from small to very large), yurts,
and army marquees which provide flexible acoustic music space,
café space, and a choice selection of soloists, duos and bands
to provide live music sessions through the night. To date we
have been regulars at Solfest, Knockengorroch, Dent, and Tinto
festivals.
Other facilities available: Burners and firewood, cool décor
and lighting, fire dancers, clog dancers, ceilidh dancing and
calling, café, & chill-out space, storytellers.
Resident Bands and Instrumentalists might include The Wildwood
Band, Sonic Tradition, Zabalka, Stingo, Bill Lloyd, Moonstone,
The Cow Licks, Kirk McElhinney, Lawrence Woof and the Dogs,
etc etc.
Up to 20 Instrumentalists play: fiddles, banjo, guitar, double
bass, melodeon, accordeon, bass banjo, nickelharpe, whistles,
bagpipes, cello, mandolin, cittern, bouzouki, harmonium, vocal
harmonies, brass, and the rest.
All artists and bands appearing on the Wildwood label are available
by arrangement.
