The Wildwood
Band Bill Lloyd - Banjo and Vocals
Wal - Fiddle
Pat Simmons - Guitar and Vocals
Richard Fern - Bass banjo and Vocals
The Wildwood Band play mostly around fires and under the moon,
but are no strangers to the back room in the pub. The band has
played stage sets at bluegrass, folk and roots music festivals
throughout England and Scotland, and are well known for their
all-night acoustic music sessions in nomad tents at parties
and gatherings of all kinds.
Fiddle, banjo, guitar, bass, harmony vocals and bagpipes produce
a high energy wall of sound, in a lively mix of dance tunes
and good-time music played the old-timey way. |
 |
| The band specialise in music from the Appalachian Mountains
but also cover songs and dance music from Europe and the Middle
East, via Memphis and Box Hill. Although hard to classify, they
belong somewhere between Brother Where Art Thou? and The Good
'ol Boys from The Blues Brothers. |
